UNIVERSITY OF GOMA
The University of Goma is a public university institution born from the Democratic Republic of Congo's policy of expanding higher and university education across the country.
It draws its existence from Ministerial Decrees No. ESU/CABMIN/066/93, ESU/227/1996 and ESU/002/1997, and gained full autonomy through Order No. 055/MINSU/RS/2005.
From its origins as the North Kivu University Center under the University of Kisangani, UNIGOM has grown into an independent institution serving thousands of students across eight academic fields.

The University of Goma was established through the policy of expanding higher and university education in the DRC. It grew from the North Kivu University Center and became an autonomous public university in 2005.
